Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Thailand

How long does the application process take?

The visa application process time depends on the type of visa and how quickly you submit the required documents. Generally, our standard process takes approximately 1-2 weeks from the time we receive all the correct documents. We therefore recommend that you submit your application well in advance of your travel.

Do I need a passport that is valid for more than 6 months?

Yes, in order to apply for a visa to Thailand, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. This is a common requirement to ensure that you can stay in the country without any problems for the entire visa period. We recommend that you double-check the validity period on your passport before applying.

What happens if my application is rejected?

It is rare for applications to be denied because we carefully review all documents and ensure they are correct before submitting them. If this does happen, we will help you understand the reason and what may need to be adjusted for a new application.

Vad säger våra kunder?

Många av våra kunder har redan fått sitt pensionärsvisum via oss – här är vad några av dem säger:

What is an E-Visa?

Starting in the 2000s, many countries introduced E-visas and Electronic Travel Authorizations (ETAs) as an alternative to traditional visas. ETAs are pre-arrival registrations that can be officially or unofficially classified as visas depending on the issuing jurisdiction. They are required for exempt foreign travelers.

Om en ETA ansökan avslås kan resenären välja att ansöka om ett visum istället. E-visum är visum som resenärer enkelt kan ansöka hos oss på Visum Thai och få online utan att besöka ett thailändskt konsulat eller andra visumbyråer. Read more about what an E-visa is
